Baby D

Baby D was a British dance duo from the early 1990s, made up of DJ Dee C Lee and MC Skid. Their track "Let Me Be Your Fantasy" became a major club hit in 1994, with its combination of melodic synth lines and Skid's rapped verses. The song's success came from that straightforward dancefloor energy rather than any grand artistic statement.

They followed up with albums like "Deliverance" in 1995 and "The Motion" in 1997, which moved through different electronic styles. Other tracks in their catalog include "Why Why" and "Back Up," maintaining that same direct approach to dance music. The duo's work was simply part of the UK's dance landscape at the time, without the dramatic rise-and-fall narrative sometimes attached to it.

Lee and Skid each brought specific roles to the project, Lee handled production and DJing while Skid delivered the vocals and stage energy.
