Bachata Heightz

Bachata Heightz formed in the Dominican Republic in 2002, with members Esteban Herrera on vocals and guitar, Fernando Ortíz on bass, Carlos Duverge on piano, and Juan Bautista on drums. They started playing in the streets of Santo Domingo, working out their sound before recording anything.

Their debut album 'El Astronauta' came out in 2003, which included the title track and songs like 'Te Busco' and 'Admirador.' The record helped establish them in the bachata scene, though they faced some copyright disputes around that time that complicated things.

Later albums like 'Sin Miedo' (2005), 'Los Ultimos' (2007), and 'Eternamente' (2010) followed, with tracks such as 'Contra El Mundo' and 'Culpo a Mi Mente' showing up in their setlists. Their music mixed traditional bachata with some R&B and pop touches, but kept the guitar work and romantic themes central.
