Archive material and source history

Backstreet Law formed in the mid-1990s, releasing their debut album 'Get Down' in 1996. The track 'Blend' from that record became their breakout single, built around pop melodies with R&B rhythms and layered vocal harmonies. The group's lineup included Alex Band on lead vocals, Nathan Stewart on guitar, Kevin Griffin on bass, and Jeremy Lubbock on drums.

After 'Blend' took off, they put out several more albums through the early 2000s, including 'Natural' in 1999, 'Above the Clouds' in 2001, and 'Twenty-Four Seven' in 2003. Other songs like 'Cross My Fingers' and 'Stages' became part of their set. In 2002, Band left the group, and they carried on as a trio for a while.

Backstreet Law returned to a full lineup in 2013 when Alex Band rejoined. They recorded new material together after that point.
