Bacos formed in 1993 as a Portuguese rock band. Their debut album 'Perfil' came out in 1997 and helped them find an audience. They've kept a steady lineup with Paulo Furtado on vocals, Henrique Oliveira on guitar, João Ventura on bass, and Bruno Silva on drums.
Their song 'Amor À Guerra' became something of an anthem for them. They followed it with albums like 'Amanhecer Nos Teus Braços' in 1999 and another called 'Amor À Guerra' in 2004. Other tracks like 'Sinestesia' and 'Lama' round out their catalog.
In 1998 they dealt with a copyright lawsuit, which they won. Later, in 2008, Furtado was diagnosed with cancer, but the band continued working. They've maintained a presence in Portuguese rock without much fanfare about their place in it.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
