Bad Acid Trip

Bad Acid Trip came out of Los Angeles in the late 1960s, with Alaric "Raven" Finch as their frontman. Their live shows were raw and improvisational, which built them a cult following. The band's name comes from their song "Bad Acid Trip," and they had other tracks like "Beef-Moo" and "Fascist Fuckwad."

They put out a debut album called "Cosmic Trip" in the 1970s, which included the title track and a song called "Astral Plane." Later albums like "Mind Expanders" and "The Acid Test" showed their experimental side. Their lineup changed over time, with Finch staying constant and other members like guitarist "Spaceman" Jake coming through.

Some critics dismissed their lyrics as drug ramblings, and their reputation for substance use and eccentric behavior followed them. Their shows sometimes had audience disturbances. Finch had personal struggles with addiction and mental health that became public later on.
