Bad Chopper

Bad Chopper formed in Los Angeles in the late 1990s with Zeke Montoya on vocals and guitar, Stash Rykov on bass, and Jimmy Tankerton on drums. They played dive bars and clubs for years before their 2005 single "1965" broke through. That song, along with tracks like "Good Enough For Me" and "All The Pretty Girls," appeared on their debut album of the same name.

Their sound mixed punk, metal, and classic rock, with lyrics that often dealt with addiction and social injustice. They released two more albums, 2008's "Blood on My Hands" and 2012's "The End of the World," before fading from the mainstream. The band's lineup stayed mostly consistent, though they occasionally added other musicians like guitarist Nate Sullivan.
