Badloves formed in 1991 with Michael Spiby on vocals and guitar, John Course on guitar, Chris Taber on bass, and Brett Goldsmith on drums. They released four studio albums between 1993 and 1998, starting with 'Get On Board' and including 'Holy Road' in 1994.
Their song 'Barefoot Bride' came from Spiby seeing a woman walk barefoot on a beach on her wedding day. It appeared on the 'Holy Road' album alongside tracks like 'Caroline' and 'Holy Roadside.' The band went on hiatus in 1996 but returned for one more album before disbanding in 2002.
