Baek Ji Woong

Baek Ji Woong was born in Seoul in 1985 and started putting out music around 2004. He's a Korean ballad singer who got some real attention a few years later with a song called "A Weary Night." That track, with its straightforward melody and lyrics, seemed to connect with people and gave his career a push.

He took a break for military service in 2011 and came back a couple of years later. When he returned, his fifth album, "Between the Lines," showed him trying some different things, moving a bit away from the ballad style he was known for. He's kept recording since then, with songs like "Blurred" featuring Yang da Il and "Close But Far" appearing in his catalog.

There was some noise around 2010 about plagiarism claims related to "A Weary Night," but those allegations didn't stick. He's done some soundtrack work too, and he's still putting out albums like "Cantabile" in 2020.
