Bagdad Café

Bagdad Café formed in the mid-1980s after Yasmin Levy, Nicolas Reiser, and Thomas Fersen met in a Parisian café. They named themselves after the film about a German woman in the American Southwest. Their song 'I'm Calling You' became a global hit, though some critics questioned their approach to Middle Eastern musical elements.

They released other albums like 'Café Bagdad' and 'Adios Muchachos.' The band included Eric Serra on drums and François Bréant on bass alongside the founding members.
