Their music drew from samba, reggae, funk, and hip-hop. Bahiano, whose real name was José Carlos Gomes, handled vocals and songwriting, while Eduardo das Neves played guitar and contributed compositions. They were known for lyrics that addressed social issues and urban life.
Some of their later work included the albums 'Axé Capoeira' from 2002 and 'Tambor de Dendê' from 2005. Their track 'Inderê' also appears among their notable songs.
