Baila Tango! formed in Buenos Aires in the early 2000s, when some musicians and dancers wanted to work with tango traditions while bringing in more current sounds. They spent a lot of time rehearsing and playing shows to figure out how to make that work, mixing tango's rhythms with pop melodies.
Their song "Aquele Que Prevê o Que Se Vê" became particularly well-known, along with tracks like "Por Mais Que Hajam Temporais" and "Garantia." Some traditional tango listeners weren't sure about their approach at first, but they kept at it. In 2010 they put out their first album.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
