Archive material and source history
Bala na Agulha formed in São Paulo in the late 1990s as a Brazilian pop-rock band. Their breakout single "Caminho Perfeito" became a national hit, pushing them into wider recognition. The group's core lineup included vocalists Rafael Almeida and Ricardo Leão, guitarist Rodrigo Tavares, bassist Bruno Marinho, and drummer Jon Tec.
Leão left the band in 2006, leaving Almeida as the sole frontman. They released the album "Eu Não Vou Mentir" in 2008, which found commercial success. Another track from their catalog, "Estou A te Esperar," also appears among their most popular songs.
Their lyrics sometimes drew attention for social commentary, like the 2008 song "Homem Invisível," which addressed treatment of the poor. The band's discography includes albums such as "Do Amor ao Ódio" from 2010 and "Pra Sempre" from 2013.
