Balaio 2 Gatos formed in 2005 around vocalist and guitarist Paulo Sérgio Vale, bassist Marcelo Callado, and drummer Alex Malheiros. They started playing small clubs and bars, building a following with straightforward melodies and lyrics that connected with people.
Their song 'A Nossa História' became particularly well-known, one of those tracks that seems to find its own audience. They put out albums like 'A Nossa História' in 2009, followed by 'Baile de Máscaras' in 2011 and 'Deixa Rolar' in 2013. Other songs in their catalog include 'I Love You' and 'Não É Uma Novela'.
