A British metal band that formed in 1985 and weathered years of lineup changes.
For their early sound, 'Walking On Top Of The World' is the one. Later, 'Wake Up Call' gives a sense of where they ended up.
Their debut track 'Walking On Top Of The World' became an anthem for metal listeners in the mid-80s. Later songs like 'Wake Up Call' and 'Savage Tears' show the band's persistence through shifting members and styles. They never quite matched that first impact, but their catalog holds a specific place for fans of that era.
They formed in 1985 with Lance King, John Sykes, and Matt Vinni, releasing a self-titled debut the next year. Sykes left soon after, and King steered the music in a more commercial direction on 'Second Coming,' which didn't sit well with some original fans. They released albums sporadically after that, including 'Lost in Time' in 1993 and 'When the World Falls Apart' in 2000, with the original trio reuniting for a tour in 2006.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
