Bambee

Bambee is a band that formed in Los Angeles with Mina Jang on vocals, Will Harrison on guitar and production, and Ethan Cave on drums. Their song 'Bumblebee' became their breakout track, though it was followed by accusations of plagiarism from an obscure indie artist. The band fought a legal battle over it and eventually won.

After 'Bumblebee,' they put out an album called 'Electric Bloom' that leaned into dreamier, more experimental territory. Their next album, 'Honeycomb,' moved back toward more straightforward pop while keeping some of their electro-pop textures. Other songs in their catalog include 'Bam Bam Bam,' 'Watch Out,' and '17.'

Mina Jang wrote most of the lyrics and handled lead vocals, with a style that often felt introspective and slightly haunted. Will Harrison built their sound by blending electronic elements with organic guitar work. Ethan Cave's drumming gave the songs their rhythmic drive, keeping things precise but propulsive.
