Banda 007

Banda 007 formed in Parauapebas, Pará in the late 1990s, with founders Alexandre "Pequeno" Piedade and Raimundo "Bode" Rodrigues drawing from local rhythms like carimbó and lambada. They started playing at local parties before catching producer Marquinhos Veiga's attention. Their 1998 debut album "Égua de Fogo" included the breakout track "Bufalo do Marajó," which became a national hit.

Their sound kept evolving through albums like "Sarna com Canela" in 2000 and "Sete Dias" in 2003, with songs like "Não Vivo Sem Você" and "Prova de Amor" maintaining their presence. The lineup has shifted over time, but Piedade and Rodrigues have remained central figures in the band's work.

In 2004, Piedade faced assault accusations that created some turbulence, though the band continued performing and recording. They released "Por Amor" in 2012, adding tracks like "Flores" and "Infiel" to their catalog. Their music has earned recognition including the Prêmio da Música Brasileira, but they've mostly stayed focused on their particular blend of northern Brazilian rhythms rather than chasing trends.
