Banda Aj7 came together in Salvador, Brazil, with Felipe Pezzoni on lead vocals, Bluma handling vocals and bass, Gabriel on drums, Leandro on guitar, and Daniel on keyboard. They put out their first album, 'Por Você,' in 2015, which included the title track that got some attention.
They followed that with 'Se Toca' in 2017 and 'Te Faz Feliz' in 2019. Early on, they dealt with the usual financial struggles of a new band, playing small shows to keep going.
At one point, there were some accusations about borrowing too heavily from other artists' work, which the band denied. They kept making music through it.
