Their lyrics sometimes drew criticism from conservative groups, which led to some concert cancellations. The band kept performing through that period, with Dennis DJ on lead vocals and a lineup that included Andrezinho, Thiago, DJ Deco, Alex, Bruno, and Marquinhos.
They put out several albums in the 2000s, including 'Evolução' in 2001, 'Ao Vivo: Ao Som do Povo' in 2002, and 'O Baile' in 2003. Other songs like 'A Igreja,' 'A Nova Direção,' 'Adoração,' and 'Alegria' appear in their catalog.
Later releases included 'Nosso Ritmo' in 2008, a compilation called '10 Anos' in 2010, and 'Para Sempre' in 2013. They recorded a live album in São Paulo in 2006.
