Banda Aloha Groove formed in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico in 2001, originally calling themselves Aloha Band. They started as a group of young musicians trying to get their music heard beyond their hometown.
Their song "A Todo Vapor" became one of their chart-topping hits. They also recorded "Até o Infinito" and "Seja Como For." The band released several albums including La Original Banda Aloha Groove in 2002, Sin Censura in 2003, and A Todo Vapor in 2004.
Some of their lyrics and stage performances drew criticism from conservative listeners. This didn't slow them down much, they kept recording and performing, building a fan base that appreciated their direct approach.
