Banda Alta Classe

Banda Alta Classe formed in São Paulo around 2004, with vocalist Thiago Carvalho and guitarist Leandro Júnior at the center. Their music pulled from samba and funk, but it was the romantic ballad 'Filme de Amor' that first connected with listeners. That song became a radio staple in Brazil, its melody and Carvalho's delivery giving the band a national profile.

Beyond 'Filme de Amor,' the group had other songs like 'Paixão Fatal' and 'Nós Dois Pra Sempre' that followed a similar emotional vein. Their sound was built on straightforward romantic themes rather than complex arrangements, which kept them accessible on streaming platforms and in live settings.

In 2012, the band faced plagiarism accusations regarding a section of 'Filme de Amor,' which drew criticism from some corners of the industry. A few years later, in 2016, founding guitarist Leandro Júnior left the group. These events marked shifts in their trajectory, though the core of their music remained focused on the themes that first found an audience.
