In 2005, their single "Menina da Aldeia" became a breakout hit, helping establish them beyond their regional roots. Other songs like "De Vestido Novo" and "Sábado" followed, maintaining their straightforward approach to Brazilian rhythms without much studio polish.
They released several albums including Na Batida do Samba in 2002 and É Hora do Samba in 2004, then Vem Dançar com a Gente in 2008. A 2010 legal dispute over the rights to "Menina da Aldeia" resulted in a settlement, but didn't significantly disrupt their activity.
