Banda Amor Mania

Banda Amor Mania formed in Salvador, Bahia in the early 1990s with vocalist Cássio Sela. They worked through financial constraints and personal conflicts while playing live shows around Brazil. Their sound was raw and unpolished at first, which drew both praise and skepticism from listeners.

In 1995, they released their debut album 'E Você Chegou,' and the title track became a national hit. The song's straightforward ballad style about unrequited love connected with audiences across Brazil. Other songs like 'Oh! Meu Amor' and 'Ei Amor' followed a similar emotional pattern.

They went on to release seven studio albums over their career, mixing Brazilian rhythms with pop structures.
