Banda Aneurysm formed in São Paulo in the late 1980s with Paulo Miklos on vocals, Clemente Nascimento on guitar, Pedro Bial on bass, and Sergio Serra on drums. They played punk and alternative rock with politically charged lyrics.
Their 1995 album 'Herói Falido' became a touchstone, with the title track capturing a mood of disillusionment. Other songs like 'Perder Ou Ganhar' and 'Medo' also came from this period.
Bassist Pedro Bial left the band in 1997 due to creative differences. They continued releasing albums like 'A Subversão das Almas' and 'O Silêncio dos Inocentes' into the early 2000s.
