Banda Antipatia came out of São Paulo's punk scene in the late 1990s. Their original lineup had vocalists Chico Science and Márcia Dutra, guitarist João Gordo, bassist Pedro Ivo, and drummer Fred Zeroquatro.
In 2000, they put out the single "No País Em Que Nasci," which caught on with listeners who were frustrated with Brazil's political climate. The song's straightforward melody and direct lyrics gave the band a clearer presence in the punk movement.
They released albums like "Anti-Heróis" in 2001 and "Eu Odeio Você" in 2003, followed by "A Verdadeira Face do Brasil" in 2007 and "Nunca Mais" in 2016. Another track, "Roda Punk," appears among their top songs.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
