Banda Aviso Imediato formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1994 with Anderson Alexandrino on vocals, Leandro Lima on bass, Cezar Augusto on drums, and Rodrigo Pereira on guitar. Their sound mixed samba, rock, and pop, which caught on quickly in Brazil.
Their 1995 song "Sempre Mais" became a national hit, helping establish them early on. Other tracks like "Te Adorar" and "Tua Volta" also found an audience. They released albums including Sempre Mais (1995), Tô Nem Aí (1997), Deixa Rolar (1999), Perdi a Linha (2007), and Deixa a Vida Levar (2012).
In 2003, Alexandrino was arrested for drug possession, which affected the band's public image. He later said he wanted to focus on music after that. The 2007 song "Perdi a Linha" drew criticism from conservative groups for its lyrics and video, but the band defended it as reflecting Brazilian life.
Lineup changes happened over time, but those four original members stayed at the core through most of their work.
