Banda Azzis

Banda Azzis came out of Manaus, with vocalist Felipe Santos at the center. In 2018 they put out 'Deus Vivo,' a song that caught on and got them wider attention. The track's straightforward religious message and upbeat rhythm found an audience, though it also drew some criticism about mixing faith and pop music.

Felipe Santos stayed on as the frontman through various lineup shifts. Other members have included keyboardist Daniel Almeida, bassist Rafinha Bastos, and drummer Júlio César. Their sound pulls from funk and pop, built around Santos's vocals and a steady rhythm section.

They kept playing live shows noted for their energy, and 'Deus Vivo' remained their most recognized song. The band's music stayed focused on religious themes, delivered with a pop sensibility that worked for radio and gatherings.
