The group's core members included João Marcelo on vocals, Bruno Reis on bass, Ricardo Amaral on drums, and Thiago Oliveira on guitar. Their music often dealt with themes of longing and everyday experience, heard in songs like "Me perdeu" and "Noites com você." They recorded a live album in 2002.
At one point they were involved in a legal dispute over their music rights. Their 2010 compilation O Melhor de Banda Break collected material from their earlier releases.
