A Salvador band that turned 'Domingo de Bavi' into a 2000s hit.
For their sound, 'Domingo de Bavi' is the obvious one. 'Burguesinha_ Pobrezinha_ Dj Descarado' shows a different side of the catalog.
They came out of Salvador in the early 2000s with a sound that pulled forró, axé, and samba together. 'Domingo de Bavi' was the track that caught on from their debut 'Swing de Verdade'. They also worked with Ivete Sangalo and Carlinhos Brown, which says something about where they were playing.
Five members started it in Salvador, with Lazão leaving in 2006 and Vadinho coming in. They put out albums like 'Bate Coração' in 2006 and 'Axé Retrô' in 2008. The songs kept coming, from 'Medo de Amar' to 'Agora Chora'.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
