Banda Deactivate formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2005 with Felipe Melo on vocals and guitar, Pedro Campos on bass, João Pedro on drums, and Lucas Moraes on keyboards. They signed with the independent label Deckdisc and released their debut album 'Desperta' in 2008. The lead single from that album, 'Canção À Mercê,' became a hit in Brazil.
Their sound developed across several albums including 'Praia do Infinito' in 2010, 'Ao Vivo em São Paulo' in 2012, and 'O Livro dos Dias' in 2014. In 2013, Lucas Moraes left the band and was replaced by keyboardist Arthur de Faria. Other songs from their catalog include 'Em Pleno Ar,' 'Eu Guardei o Amor,' and 'Tirano.'
