Banda Diclock formed in 2010 in Manaus, Brazil, with a lineup that included vocalists Lucas Almeida and Lucas Santos, guitarist Robinho Tavares, bassist Léo Oliveira, and drummer Wagner Mello. They started playing forró music, a Brazilian genre built around guitar, percussion, and melody.
Their debut album 'Forró Pra Te Dançar' came out in 2013, and the single 'A Procura da Felicidade' became a hit. The song's title translates to 'In Search of Happiness,' and its straightforward, upbeat feel connected with listeners. Other songs like 'Confissões e Pensamentos' and 'Eu Brinco de Gostar de Você' followed on later albums.
The band has released several albums since then, including 'Forró de Sentimento' in 2015, a live album in 2018, and 'O Som do Povo' in 2021. Their lineup has changed some over time, but they've kept working in that forró space, mixing traditional sounds with more current touches.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
