Banda Diviroty formed in Santarém, Pará in 1997, started by brothers Cleyton and Cleiton Soares with their cousin Edivaldo Lima. They played music rooted in their Amazonian surroundings, eventually adding Mauro Filho on drums and Wesley Bruno on keyboards.
Their song "Eu Só Cair No Buraquinho" became widely known after its 1999 release. Another track, "Vida de Putão," also gained attention. The band faced accusations of plagiarism and unauthorized sample use during their run.
They put out several albums including "O Vento" in 2001, "O Cheiro da Floresta" in 2003, and "Amazônia Viva" in 2005. Their music found listeners beyond the Amazon region.
