They kept recording through the late 80s and 90s with albums like 'Arca da Aliança' and 'Shekinah.' Their songs, including 'Amor Maior,' mixed Brazilian rhythms with straightforward gospel lyrics.
Jairo Bonfim stayed with the band as other members came and went. They faced some criticism from religious groups early on and dealt with a plagiarism accusation in 2009 that was eventually resolved.
