They started playing local clubs and bars, building a following before their 2005 debut album 'Por Aí' brought them wider attention. The title track 'Por Aí' became a radio hit.
Their music draws from samba and MPB, with later albums like 'Maré Cheia' (2007) and 'Sete Vidas' (2010) showing their range. They've worked with artists including Marisa Monte, Chico Buarque, and Gilberto Gil. The band's current lineup adds percussionist Beto Cazes to the original four members.
More recently, they've been vocal about LGBTQ+ rights and social justice issues, which has drawn some pushback but also defined their public stance.
