Banda Entre Amigos

Banda Entre Amigos formed in São Paulo in the early 1990s, a group of musicians making gospel music with a straightforward approach. Their song 'Amar É Obedecer' became widely known after appearing on their 1995 debut album, its melody and message connecting with listeners across Brazil.

While some in gospel circles questioned whether their sound leaned too secular, the band kept recording. They worked through a member's departure in 2002, took a brief break, then continued. Other songs like 'Balada Sertaneja' and 'Minha Essência' show their consistent focus on faith and devotion.

They've put out a number of albums since the mid-90s, maintaining a presence in Brazilian gospel music without much fanfare about influence or legacy. The music speaks plainly, which seems to be the point.
