Banda Eros formed in Salvador, Bahia in 1983 with Marisa Monte, Arnaldo Antunes, Carlinhos Brown, and Nando Reis. Their self-titled 1985 debut included the song "Proto Pra Amar," which became popular in Brazil. They worked in a style that mixed MPB with pop elements.
After Nando Reis left in 1990, the group continued with other collaborators. They released several albums through the late 1980s and early 1990s, including "Pra Dentro da Cabeça" and "Caçulinha." Some of their songs like "Tudo Que Eu Queria" and "Viver sem seu Amor" maintained their melodic approach.
