Banda Eufrásia formed in Salvador, Bahia in 1998, with Chico Evangelista on vocals. Their debut album "Só Pra Sentir" came out in 2000, and the title track became a radio hit. The band's sound mixed Afro-Brazilian rhythms with reggae and pop elements.
In 2005, Evangelista was arrested for alleged drug possession, which drew public attention. The group kept recording through that period, putting out albums like "Cabaré" in 2008 and "Alegria" in 2012. Other songs from their catalog include "No Fim da Estrada" and "Feito de Tempo."
Their lineup included Robson Santana on guitar, André Lima on bass, Jorge Alexandre on drums, and Barrão on keyboards. They released another album called "Raízes" in 2018.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
