Banda Farol Azul formed in Rio de Janeiro in 1999. The original lineup included vocalists Fabrício Soares and Henry Herman, percussionist Fábio Lima, and guitarist Thiago Martins.
Their track 'Praia, Sol, Música e Mar' became something of a summer anthem, capturing a certain coastal mood. Other songs like 'Amigos Pra Que Te Quero' and 'Desde Que Você Se Foi' show their range across upbeat and more reflective material.
They kept making music that mixed samba, reggae, and pop elements without much fuss about it.
