Banda Filhos da Lua formed in São Paulo in the late 1990s, a group of friends led by vocalist Leandro Fernandes and guitarist André Prando. They took their name, which means Sons of the Moon, from the romantic feel they wanted in their music.
Their 2004 single 'Seu Olhar' became a hit on Brazilian radio, a ballad that worked with Fernandes's vocals and Prando's guitar. That song led to their debut album 'Filhos da Lua' in 2005, which included another track called 'Vida'.
