Banda Fórum formed in Fortaleza, Ceará in 2004, with Neto Araújo as their vocalist and songwriter. They started playing small venues and local festivals, gradually building an audience through live performances. Their first album, 'É Assim que a Gente Quer,' came out in 2008 and included the track 'Go Back.'
Some of their lyrics addressed social issues, which drew criticism from certain listeners but also connected with fans who appreciated that directness. They followed up with another album called 'Pra Você' in 2010. The band's sound fits within the forró tradition, a style of Brazilian music with roots in the country's northeast region.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
