Banda Frases formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s around vocalist Brunno Henrique and guitarist Arthur Henrique. They worked their way up through local festivals and small venues before catching the attention of the independent label Som Livre.
Their 2009 debut album "Clareou" gave them their breakthrough, with the title track becoming a national hit in Brazil. Other songs like "Tão Simples" and "Um Certo Olhar" followed a similar pattern of straightforward romantic themes set to sertanejo rhythms.
They've released several albums since then, including "Nosso Mundo" in 2012 and "Vou te Amar" in 2015. The band has maintained a steady presence in Brazilian music without dramatically changing their approach to songwriting.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
