Banda Fresa formed in 2013, a Mexican band that works with banda sinaloense, pop, and norteño sounds. Their debut single "Banda Mariposa" came out in 2015 and got them some attention. They've put out other songs like "A Ti," "Ay Amor," and "Ciega."
Mónica Hinojosa sings lead, Luis Ángel plays guitar and sings, César is on bass, and Sergio drums. In 2016, "Banda Mariposa" won a Premio Lo Nuestro for Regional Mexican Song of the Year.
They had a legal dispute with a record label in 2017. The band kept going after that.
