They were Corinthians fans who wanted to make music for fellow supporters. The next year, they released 'Hino do Corinthians,' which caught on quickly with the club's fanbase and became a regular part of match days.
They recorded other team anthems too, like 'Hino do São Paulo F.C' and 'Hino do Flamengo,' but their connection to Corinthians remained central. In 1990, they put out 'Nunca Mais Eu Me Esquecerei' about the club's state championship win. The band's lineup included Marco Aurélio on bass and Mauro Henrique on drums alongside the founders.
Their songs are straightforward fan music, not trying for crossover appeal. You hear 'Hino do Corinthians' at games decades later, sung by crowds who might not know the band's name but know the words.
