Banda Garage Gospel formed in 2006 when a group of friends in São Paulo started playing music together in a garage. They took their name from those modest beginnings, with Thiago Marques on vocals and guitar, Leonardo Mota on drums, Fabio Assis on bass, and Rafael Assis on keyboards.
Their 2012 single "Corpo e Família" became particularly well-known, winning awards and connecting with listeners. Another track, "Por Onde Eu For," also appears among their most recognized songs.
They've released several albums over time, including 2009's "Pra Começar," 2012's "Para Todos Que Vos Ouvirão," 2015's "Sinais," and 2018's "Somos Um." The lineup later expanded to include guitarist Marcos Almeida alongside the original members.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
