Banda GDC formed in Jerez, Zacatecas, and released their debut album 'Pobre Rico' in 2002. The title track became one of their most recognizable songs, along with 'Primeiro Homem' and 'Água de Coco'.
The band's lineup has included several members of the Lizárraga family, with Sergio Lizárraga on trumpet and vocals, Francisco Lizárraga on clarinet and vocals, and Marco Antonio Lizárraga on accordion and vocals. José Luis Higuera played saxophone and sang, while Jorge Iván Lizárraga handled tuba and vocals.
They followed their debut with albums like 'Vale la Pena Esperar' in 2004, 'Por Siempre' in 2007, and 'Con Todo y Mi Tristeza' in 2010. Their songs often touch on everyday themes, as heard in tracks like 'Abraço Grátis' and 'Amor Maior'.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
