Archive material and source history
Banda Gênesis formed in 1993 in Fortaleza, Brazil, with Felipe Dylon, Bruno Scornavacca, and Jean Abud. They took their name from the biblical creation story. Their early recognition came from a cover of "Tente Me Entender."
In 2003, Felipe Dylon left to pursue solo work. The band continued, releasing albums like "Amor e Sertão" in 2002 and "Serenata" in 2008. Their songs include "Gênesis," "A Filha do Seu Filho," and "Coração Adorador."
They faced a plagiarism accusation in 2010 but resolved it legally. Later albums included "Acústico" in 2015.
