Banda Hidrofobia formed in Brazil in the late 1990s, with Eurico as vocalist and songwriter. Their debut album 'O Jogo do Tempo' came out in 1999 and included the song 'Acordar,' which became a breakout track for them. The band's sound drew from punk energy and alternative rock's introspective lyrics.
Internal changes happened as the group gained attention. Guitarist Fred and drummer Fernando left the band at some point, citing creative differences. The band took a break but returned with the album 'Ressurreição' in 2005. In 2009, bassist Eddie passed away.
