Banda Holiver formed in 2006 with a lineup that included Mario "Chayín" Ruiz on lead vocals, Luis Ángel "Luchín" Franco on vocals and tuba, Carlos "Charly" Saúl Preciado on vocals and bass guitar, Juan Carlos "Cochis" López on vocals and drums, and Miguel Ángel "Mikey" Mendoza on vocals and trumpet. They started out playing small venues and local festivals.
In 2015, the band released "Abismos," a ballad that connected with listeners and helped bring them wider attention. Another song, "Você Mudou Tudo em Mim," also appears among their top tracks.
