Archive material and source history
Banda Hopness formed in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, with Alexandre Almeida on vocals and guitar, Pedro Martins on bass, Daniel Almeida on drums, and Thiago Corrêa on keyboards. Their first album, Caminho, came out in 2003 and included the song of the same name that became one of their better-known tracks.
They released three more albums over the next decade: Seja Bem-Vindo in 2006, Além da Imaginação in 2009, and Um Novo Amanhã in 2013. Other songs like Em Oração and Vou Esperar also found an audience. In 2017, Almeida was diagnosed with cancer, which led to some postponed touring.
