Banda Jotas formed in São Paulo in 1986. They started playing at local churches and youth events, working with what they had. In 1995, they put out an album called 'A Cruz Não Foi o Fim,' and the title track became something people in their community knew.
Celso Gomes sings and plays guitar for the band. Daniel Moura handles keyboards, Ivan Machado plays bass, and Anderson Valderramas is on drums. They've kept that lineup pretty steady over time.
Their songs like 'Nada Vai Me Separar' and 'Ela É Assim' are straightforward about faith. They've put out other records too, including 'Vôo Livre' and 'Não Há Mais Queda.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
