Banda Lado a Lado formed in Santos, Brazil in the early 2000s. Their debut album "Quem Não Luta Não Vence" came out in 2004, and they had a lineup that included vocalist Marcelinho, guitarists Leonardo and Joca, bassist Luan, and drummer Gabriel.
Their second album "Aceita e Chora" arrived in 2006, with the title track becoming a significant hit. The song "Não Adianta" also appears among their notable work. They released several more albums including "Deixa Eu Te Fazer Feliz" in 2008, "A Última Dose" in 2011, and "Eu Não Sou de Ninguém" in 2014.
Over time, the band experienced lineup changes and internal conflicts. They also faced accusations that the melody for "Aceita e Chora" was borrowed from a Portuguese fado song.
